retinoids, hyluronic acid, antioxidants, weekly exfoliation, and an spf of atleast 30
YES they work TRUST me if you get the right brands- I use Skinactives
I am 31 & ppl constantly tell me I look like Im in my mid-20’s.
diet & fitness will play a major roll as well-
here is what I do-
AM: rinse face, yogurt mask (yep- plain, whole fat yogurt on your face for 15 min). rinse. apply hylauronic cream / anti-ox booster, & sunscreen
cleanse the face w/ a salicylic cleanser (I use neutrogena; the orange liquid in the pump) 2-3x/day & reapply as above.
PM: wash face w/ salicylic cleanser, use witch hazel to remove any excess & apply lets make collegen serum, & hylauronic cream/ retinyl acetate
also: 1x/week do an alpha/beta “peel” (I just apply w/ my fingers because the pads soak up too much)
& 2 add’l days/week do some kind of physical exfoliation like a light scrub of sugar & honey.
also take a multivitamin everyday + capsules of omega fatty acids (1 enteric coated fish oil, 1 flaxseed, & 1-2 T olive oil ea day)
eat plenty of fruits & veggies (our cells are only as healthy as the fluids they “bathe” in) and drink plenty of water
& get refined flour/sugar out of the diet ie: white any of the following; bread, pasta, potatoes, tortillas, sugar, flour, rice. eat only WHOLE grains & lean protein/dairy. Also exercise 5x/week for an hr ea & get penty of fresh air.
really-staying young requires ALL of these lifestyle habits & no cream alone will do the job
& btw; most of the cremes in department stores are not worth it at all- you would need to buy a dozen of them to get all the ingredients you’ll get in the brand I use-

my mom used to use that and people always tell her she looks young - she’s 47. But she doesn’t use it anymore.

Good hydration, good diet, exercise will probably do more good for a longer period of time.
Preparation H will tighten up the skin on ones face and it’s a lot cheaper.

otc - no. you will need to get prescription strength retin a and use it in conjunction with other products, such as obagi. turned my skin around, seriously. however, to fill in wrinkles (deeper ones) you need stuff like restalyn, juvaderm etc. this stuff is expensive and is only temporary. you can also do fat transfers. i opted for that as it is more permanent.

NO,NO,NO! Save your money. Instead drink more water, always use a sunscreen of 15 SPF or higher including on the neck, even in the winter. Do not smoke (it ages you faster, no kidding!), drink alcohol only in moderation and eat well, low fat healthy foods with plenty of vegetables (vitamin A is tops for skin conditioning). Smile often, don’t frown. And get enough sleep (6-8 hrs).

The only thing clinically proven to improve wrinkles is,
1. Retin-A
2.Vitamin C
3.Botox
4.Restalyne
In my opinion most over the counter creams from drug stores is a waste of money.
That is why it is important to go to a skin expert that can analyze your skin and put you on a routine that will fit your personal skin needs.
Prevention is always better than a cure.
My favorite youth in a bottle that actually works is TNS serum by SKIN MEDICA, it is pricey but I swear by it.
It tightens my skin instantly.
Long term wrinkle care is prescription strength tretnoin it’s retin A in a cream base. Start out with the lowest dosage then work your way up to higher. You must use sunscreen always, especilly when using creams that mke he skin sun sensitive.
Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions.
